On October 3, in Cao Bang, Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway Joint Stock Company, which is the project enterprise, organized a ceremony to launch an emulation movement of 525 days and nights to open Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project, aiming to celebrate the 525th anniversary of the founding of Cao Bang province.
The launching ceremony was attended by the Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee Tran Hong Minh, who was accompanied by representatives from local authorities, departments, and sectors in the province.
Dong Dang (Lang Son province) – Tra Linh (Cao Bang province) expressway is a national key project that has received significant attention and guidance from the Party, National Assembly, Government, and various ministries, as well as local departments during the implementation process.
The Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, Tran Hong Minh, inspected tunnel 2, which belongs to Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway project.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Minh affirmed that Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project is a key work that holds particularly important significance in terms of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs, serving as a project that helps Cao Bang “connect to reach further”.
“Upon completion, Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway will be a model route which carries the strong cultural identity of the Northeast, not only promoting economic development but also contributing to the preservation of local cultural values”, Mr. Tran Hong Minh stated.
Mr. Tran Hong Minh affirmed that Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway, which once completed, will boost the tourism and agriculture sectors of Cao Bang province.
Towards the 525th anniversary of the founding of Cao Bang province, to create an emulation spirit that strives to overcome all difficulties and complies with the “overcoming sun and rain” direction from the Prime Minister, Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway Joint Stock Company and contractors have expressed their determination to open the project route within 525 days and nights.
Tunnel construction
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, who is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway Joint Stock Company, the period from now until May 2025 is the key pivotal time to accelerate construction progress, which aims to bring the project to completion on schedule.
The representative of the project enterprise affirmed that for the emulation campaign of 525 days and nights to open the route to finish as expected, it requires the involvement of local authorities along with the support of residents in Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces regarding site clearance, resettlement, and relocation of technical infrastructure.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh expects that the movement will help boost the working spirit of the collective workforce, who are dedicated to the project.
“It is necessary to establish a cohesive relationship of responsibility between competent authorities, local governments, and investors, as well as the project enterprise and construction contractors, which creates high consensus from the launching and direction to the organization and implementation of the movement”, Mr. Vinh pointed out.
Representing the general contractor, Mr. Pham Duy Hieu, who is Vice General Director of DEOCA Group, is committed to closely following the detailed construction plan, which ensures the progress of opening the route after 525 days and nights while maintaining absolute quality and labor safety.
“We understand that the success of the project does not only rely on construction capacity but also depends on the support and companionship of the authorities and people of Cao Bang”, Mr. Pham Duy Hieu said.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Secretary of Cao Bang provincial Party Committee, Tran Hong Minh led a provincial delegation to inspect the site where they listened to reports and grasped the status of site clearance, resettlement arrangements, and the deployment of construction material mines serving the project as well as the construction progress of the expressway in Thach An district and Quang Hoa district.
Witnessing the bustling construction atmosphere, the Secretary of Cao Bang provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the project enterprise and contractors, who have made great efforts to work and overcome difficulties caused by the impact of natural disasters in recent times.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Hong Minh commended the efforts of the construction contractors of Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway project.
However, as the workload remains substantial, relevant units must take advantage of the dry weather from now until the end of the year, which allows for efforts to keep the project strictly on the proposed schedule.
Regarding site clearance, relocation of technical infrastructure, and resettlement for residents, Secretary Tran Hong Minh requested the authorities of Thach An district and Quang Hoa district to actively promote these tasks based on responsibility and transparency, while the project enterprise needs to urgently coordinate with local governments in a spirit of “prioritizing the work" and "finishing each task neatly as it proceeds”.
During the inspection, the Secretary of Cao Bang provincial Party Committee issued many close directions for the project enterprise and contractors to accelerate construction progress.
The Secretary of Cao Bang provincial Party Committee hopes that the launching ceremony of the 525-day emulation movement will create an enthusiastic atmosphere for the contracting units, which aim to soon complete the opening of Dong Dang – Tra Linh expressway on schedule.
“With the expressway project nearing completion in the next 500 days, I believe that the socio-economic picture of Cao Bang will become more prosperous”, Mr. Tran Hong Minh shared.
